The online tools and Photoshop give you the ability to take your digital art to the next level. Use layers to create complex images, and the Crop and Slice tools to cut or crop an image. You can create a variety of linework using the drawing and brushing tools. You can also utilize the Brush and Pencil tools to create large, swathes of colors. The Eyedropper lets you capture and match colors in an image. Measurement tools allow for precise positioning and measurements.
Selection tools let you draw a line around an area of your image and apply different effects to it. The Lasso with its Polygonal Lasso, and Magnetic variations, allows you to have more control over the selection. You can then use the patch tool to repair the selection that was made, or you can use the Content-Aware move tool to move an object or layer without affecting its appearance or altering other elements in the image around it.
Blur softens the pixels and makes them less distinct. This can be useful for reducing glare or creating a dreamy look. Sharpen is the opposite of Blur, it makes pixels more distinct. It’s commonly used to remove wrinkles and other imperfections. Dodge and Burn can be employed to lighten or darken the appearance of pixels. The Sponge tool can absorb or release color. You can move an object or layer using the Move tool. You can create a keyboard shortcut that will switch between tools and also alter the preference that determines whether or not Photoshop switches between tools when you hold a key and hold Shift.
